The processing of extruded dog food is basically divided into physical method, chemical method and microbial method. Physical method mainly refers to the extrusion, heating, crushing, bonding of raw materials; chemical method is to denaturate starch, protein degradation; microbial method is to ferment raw materials. The puffing process was first used in dog food production in 1957, and was first used by Americans in order to improve the digestive efficiency of dog food.
